University of the Punjab Partners with Shihezi University: A New Chapter in Health Sciences Research

In a significant step toward global health advancement, the University of the Punjab ‘s Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology (CEMB) has joined hands with China’s Shihezi University School of Medicine through a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This strategic collaboration is set to revolutionize health sciences by fostering groundbreaking research, academic exchange, and shared innovation.

The MoU was officially signed by Prof. Dr. Moaz ur Rahman, Director of CEMB at the University of the Punjab, and Vice Dean of the School of Medicine at Shihezi University  Prof. Dr. Wang Yuanzhi, Spearheading the event was Prof. Dr. Cheng of China Agricultural University, who played an instrumental role in bridging the collaboration between these prestigious institutions.

The partnership was formalized during the International Symposium on Veterinary Vaccine and Drug Technology Cooperation among Belt and Road countries, providing a fitting platform to highlight the shared commitment of Pakistan and China to scientific progress.

Key Areas of Collaboration

This MoU outlines a multi-faceted approach to health sciences research, emphasizing:
