The Higher Education Commission (HEC) is going to conduct the Law Admission Test (LAT) for the five-year undergraduate LLB degree program at the HEC/PBC recognized public and private sector universities and the colleges that are affiliated with the public sector universities.
The decision is in compliance with the Supreme Court’s directive dated 6 March 2018, and judgment dated 31 August 2018, according to which the LAT is compulsory for admission to the LLB program at any government or private university and their affiliated colleges across the country.
Who Can Apply?
Candidates who have cleared the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or are grade 12 qualified are eligible to apply for the LAT. Those who have taken the HSSC final examinations or are grade 12 or equivalent qualified and awaiting their results can also apply.
Test Centers
The LAT will be conducted in all the major cities of the country, and applicants may select any center.
Test Date
The LAT will be conducted on 7 March 2021, and any changes in the schedule will be announced on the HEC’s official website. Aspirants can apply by 24 February 2021. Applications can also be submitted on the HEC’s website.
A confirmation SMS/email will be sent to the candidate upon successful registration. The message will have the details of the test date, time, and venue.
Applicants are to enter correct and active phone numbers and email addresses to receive the test details, and are to bring a printout of their roll number slip and original CNIC to be allowed to enter the examination hall.
