Proud Graduates: Degrees awarded at FUSST Convocation 2024

The 2024 convocation of the Faculty of Engineering & IT and Faculty of Management Sciences at Foundation University School of Science and Technology (FUSST) was held with grandeur at Topi Rakh Galaxy Hall. Renowned nuclear physicist and advisor, Dr. Samar Mubarakmand, decorated with Nishan-e-Imtiaz, Hilal-e-Imtiaz, and Sitara-e-Imtiaz, graced the event as the chief guest, according to an official press release.

The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including the Rector, Major General (r) Muhammad Kaleem Asif, HI(M), and Pro Rector/Director Brig (r) Dr. Abdul Ghafoor. A total of 537 graduates received their degrees during the convocation, with outstanding performers being honored with 9 gold medals, 9 silver medals, 31 certificates of distinction, and 37 merit certificates.

In his address, the Pro Rector of  Foundation University School of Science and Technology (FUSST) presented the annual report, showcasing the university’s strides in academic innovation and growth. Highlighting FUSST’s responsiveness to the evolving academic landscape, he announced the launch of cutting-edge programs such as FinTech, Business Analytics, and Engineering Technology. He also noted the significant expansion of seats in Computer Science and IET programs, emphasizing the institution’s growing capacity to cater to modern education needs. The introduction of a Computer Engineering program and a record of 132 active PhD enrolments, with 112 graduates to date, marked major milestones.

The vision for the future was shared, with plans for a flagship campus featuring state-of-the-art facilities for education, research, and extracurricular activities. The Pro Rector emphasized FUSST’s commitment to fostering innovation through its Business Incubation Centre and strengthening industry ties for internships, job placements, and advanced learning opportunities at the local and global levels.

The convocation celebrated not just the achievements of its graduates but also FUSST’s enduring mission to drive academic excellence and societal impact.
