SIMS celebrates excellence with 398 new MBBS doctors.

The 8th convocation of Services Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS) witnessed the conferring of MBBS degrees to 398 graduates from the 2022 and 2023 batches, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s academic journey. 398 graduates were awarded MBBS degrees at the prestigious event held at Aiwan-e-Iqbal, with Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique attending as the chief guest and Provincial Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare, Khawaja Imran Nazir, serving as the guest of honour.

The ceremony was graced by several distinguished personalities, including KEMU Vice Chancellor Prof Mahmood Ayaz, SIMS Principal Prof Zohra Khanum, Prof Rashid Latif Khan, Pro VC UHS Prof Nadia Naseem, and Prof Sardar Al-Freed Zafar, Principal of Amir ud din Medical College. Also in attendance were faculty members and students of SIMS. During the convocation, 398 graduates received their MBBS degrees, and SIMS Principal Prof Zohra Khanum administered the oath of service to humanity to the new doctors.

Additionally, Khawaja Salman Rafique presented gold and silver medals, along with certificates of appreciation, to the highest achievers. Hijab Zara was honored as the best graduate of 2022 with an impressive 16 medals, while Fatima Nadeem was recognized as the best graduate of 2023, receiving 19 medals for her outstanding performance. The award ceremony celebrated the academic excellence of the graduates, marking an important chapter in their journey toward serving humanity.
