The Higher Education Commission (HEC) is going to conduct the Law Admission Test (LAT) for the five-year undergraduate LLB degree program at the HEC/PBC recognized public and private sector universities and the colleges that are affiliated with the public sector universities.
The decision is in compliance with the Supreme Court’s directive dated 6 March 2018, and judgment dated 31 August 2018, according to which the LAT is compulsory for admission to the LLB program at any government or private university and their affiliated colleges across the country.
Who Can Apply?
Candidates who have cleared the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or are grade 12 qualified are eligible to apply for the LAT. Those who have taken the HSSC final examinations or are grade 12 or equivalent qualified and awaiting their results can also apply.
The LAT will be conducted in all the major cities of the country, and applicants may select any center.
The LAT will be conducted on 7 March 2021, and any changes in the schedule will be announced on the HEC’s official website. Aspirants can apply by 24 February 2021. Applications can also be submitted on the HEC’s website.
