The University of Karachi’s Board of Studies of Commerce, at the request of college teachers, has approved a reduction in the syllabus for the upcoming B.Com annual examinations 2020.
The board meeting was convened today under the chairmanship of In-charge Department of Commerce KU, Dr. Zaeema Israr, on Wednesday.
The meeting was told that the teachers and students of the affiliated colleges have requested to reduce the syllabus as the teaching process was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The meeting was informed that the condensed syllabus is available with the KU Examinations Department.
Earlier on February 16, the KU Vice-Chancellor (VC), Professor Dr. Khalid Mahmood Iraqi, had announced to reduce the syllabus of BSc and B.A. as well. After the approval from the VC, the concerned departments have been instructed to prepare question papers under the reduced syllabus for the upcoming annual degree examinations.
Controller examination KU, Dr. Syed Zafar Hussain, confirmed the development and said that the syllabus for the degree students has been made short for the academic year 2020 only.
