The National Incubation Centre Islamabad hosted the graduation ceremony for the Upskill AJK Programme, marking a significant milestone in empowering youth and women with in-demand tech skills.
The event was attended by prominent figures, including Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan (CEO Centaurus Group and President IDA), Muhammad Omais Khattak (Managing Director of Khattak Sons Pvt. Ltd.), and esteemed professors from NUML University.
The Upskill AJK Programme, a collaborative effort between The Centaurus Group and Atomcamp, focused on equipping 100 participants with essential skills in Digital Marketing and Full-Stack Web Development, preparing them to thrive in the ever-evolving digital economy.
During the ceremony, Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan presented certificates to the graduates and emphasized the importance of bridging the gap between academic qualifications and industry demands. He pointed out that while Pakistan has no shortage of degree holders, the real need lies in skilled professionals capable of meeting market requirements.
Encouraging the graduates, he highlighted freelancing as a viable avenue for earning a sustainable income from home and unlocking broader career opportunities. He expressed optimism that these newly acquired skills would enable participants to secure promising roles in the tech industry and contribute meaningfully to economic growth.
