A Chinese delegation on Saturday visited the Department of History and Pakistan Studies at the University of the Punjab (PU) in a promising step toward strengthening PU-China academic collaboration in cultural and historical studies.
During the visit, Dean of the Faculty of Arts & Humanities, Prof Dr Mahboob Hussain, warmly welcomed the guests and presented an overview of the department’s academic programs, research output, and distinguished faculty. The delegation and PU officials engaged in productive discussions focused on academic collaboration, cultural exchange, and building long-term institutional linkages. Prof Mahboob emphasized that this initiative would serve as a gateway to robust PU-China academic collaboration, particularly in historical and regional research domains.
He further described the visit as a landmark moment for PU, envisioning deeper academic ties, student exchange programs, and collaborative research initiatives between the University of the Punjab and Chinese universities.
