The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has announced that the classes at the medical and dental colleges of Punjab will commence on 22 February. The announcement came as an official statement on Monday and added that the classes at the colleges in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) will commence on 1 March. As per details, an important meeting about the admissions was held on campus that was attended by the Vice-Chancellors (VC) of the private medical and dental colleges in the Punjab and AJK and was chaired by the VC UHS, Dr. Javed Akram.
During the meeting, it was decided that the talented students who are unable to pay tuition fees will not be denied admission to medical or dental colleges as there are several scholarships available for deserving students.
The Team Lead for Admissions, Dr. Allah Rakha, also attended the meeting and informed the attendees that the admission process had been completed in accordance with the directives of the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) and that the enrollments had been made on 95 percent of the seats.
