The Fatima Jinnah Medical University in Lahore marked the 76th Independence Day with great zeal.
Health Minister Dr Javed Akram showed up as the chief guest at the event. Vice Chancellor of FJMU Prof Dr Khalid Masood Gondal and the faculty accorded him a warm welcome.
Prof Bilquis Shabbir moderated the ceremony which started with recitation of the verses from the Holy Quran and followed by a flag-hoisting ceremony.
The participants prayed for prosperity and progress in the country.
