FJMU on High Alert: Doctors Stand with Forces

In light of prevailing national circumstances, Fatima Jinnah Medical University (FJMU) convened an emergency preparedness meeting under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal. Joined by deans, heads of departments, and faculty members, the session reinforced the university’s unified stance that doctors stand with forces, ready to respond to any eventuality in the national interest.

Addressing the attendees, Prof. Gondal paid heartfelt tribute to the Security Forces of Pakistan, reaffirming national solidarity in these critical times. He highlighted the public’s unshakable trust in the military’s capability to safeguard the country. “Our medical community is fully prepared,” he said, “because doctors stand with forces, in duty and in spirit.” He further ordered proactive measures across all departments to ensure readiness in case of emergencies.

A solidarity rally, led by Prof. Gondal and MS Dr. Arif Iftikhar, echoed the university’s unwavering commitment to the nation. Faculty and staff marched in support of the armed forces and condemned India’s recent provocations. During a subsequent visit to hospital wards, the Assistant Commissioner Lahore City, Mr. Babar Ali, joined the university leadership in inspecting preparedness levels. Over 200 blood bags were confirmed in stock, and additional resources were mobilized. Faculty and paramedical teams pledged full cooperation and sacrifice, echoing the shared belief that doctors stand with forces, not only in words but in action.
