A high-level meeting was convened at the office of the Parliamentary Secretary for Education on Thursday to discuss the integration of AI in Pakistan’s education system, highlighting its pivotal role in shaping the country’s academic and technological future.
The session centred on enhancing international cooperation and embedding AI in Pakistan’s education system to uplift both the education and health sectors. Experts underscored the importance of policy-level changes and global collaboration to keep pace with technological advancements.
Dr. Ishfaq Ahmad, an Australia-based expert in information technology and AI, stressed the critical need to embed AI in Pakistan’s education system starting from the primary school level all the way to universities, creating a continuous and future-ready learning model.
He stated that the Ministry of Federal Education is spearheading efforts to ensure AI in Pakistan’s education system is not just a concept but a nationwide initiative, aimed at making students globally competitive in the tech-driven economy.
Dr. Ahmad concluded that embracing AI in Pakistan’s education system would empower the youth to become innovators and industry leaders in an increasingly digital and automated global landscape.
