KP Govt releases Rs 400mln grant for University of Agriculture DI Khan

Our Correspondent: PESHAWAR, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Thursday released one time grant-in-aid of Rs 400 million for the University of Agriculture Dera Ismail Khan (UAD) for setting up of new laboratories to provide up-to-date equipment and better research environment to the students. Vice Chancellor University of Agriculture Prof Dr Masroor Elahi Babar said that provision of high quality education has always remained a focus of the university adding that UAD would ensure provision of funded research projects to its students to uplift the academic standards of the institution and provide facilities for extracurricular activities to help prepare the balance, productive and sound minds for the society.
Director Planning and Development UAD, Arshad Jamil Khokhar said that the University is expected to flourish further in near future through edifying its students by providing them with the factual and research oriented knowledge.
He said the release of fund was a long standing demand of University and citizens of Dera Ismail Khan as cash-strapped the varsity was running its financial affairs through the fees of the students enrolled in different programs of the varsity.
Other staff of UAD has also thanked the provincial government for the release of funds.
