NAVTTC collaboration with CIIC International Education Technology, Beijing

Islamabad: In a major step towards international partnership in the skills development sector, the NAVTTC collaboration with CIIC (CIIC International Education Technology, Beijing) is gaining momentum as a high-level delegation from the Chinese institute visited the NAVTTC headquarters in Islamabad. This engagement aligns with the vision of Federal Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, who was also present during the meeting to underscore the importance of global cooperation in technical and vocational training.

During the visit, Executive Director NAVTTC, Aamir Jan, extended a warm welcome to the delegation and provided an in-depth overview of NAVTTC’s national mandate, flagship initiatives, and progress in transforming Pakistan’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector. He highlighted ongoing reforms such as Competency-Based Training (CBT), international accreditations, and the integration of digital technologies in training centers across the country.

Wang Kang, Chairman of CIIC Technology Group Co., Ltd., noted that this visit was CIIC’s first to Pakistan since its founding in 1987. He emphasized the company’s global stature as one of the top 10 skills development providers in the world and expressed a strong desire to engage in long-term partnership with NAVTTC. He further pointed out areas of mutual interest including smart labs, AI-powered vocational platforms, and collaborative certification programs.

The proposed NAVTTC collaboration with CIIC will open new doors for knowledge exchange, industry-aligned training, and employment opportunities for Pakistani youth, both locally and abroad. Discussions also covered the potential launch of joint pilot programs focusing on advanced technologies like renewable energy, robotics, and digital fabrication.

This evolving NAVTTC collaboration with CIIC reflects Pakistan’s commitment to internationalize its TVET systems and empower the workforce with globally competitive skills, in line with the country’s Vision 2025 and the broader development agenda.
