Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, Chairman of the Prime Minister Youth Program (PMYP), emphasized on Friday that the government is committed to equipping the youth with advanced technological and conventional skills to unlock their full potential. Speaking at the ‘Bridging Educational Polarization for Social Harmony’ event, he highlighted Prime Minister Youth Program (PMYP’s) various initiatives aimed at creating employment opportunities and fostering economic growth.
“The youth are the backbone of Pakistan’s future. By providing them with cutting-edge and traditional skill sets, we’re empowering them to thrive in today’s competitive world,” he stated.
He urged the younger generation to take pride in being “Ambassadors of Pakistan,” stressing the importance of hard work and integrity to elevate the country’s global standing.
During his address, the Chairman shed light on several transformative initiatives under PMYP, including:
- PM Skill Development Programs (NAVTTC)
- PM Youth Laptop Scheme
- Pakistan Education Endowment Fund
- Youth Business & Agriculture Loan Scheme
- PM Youth Internship Program
- National Innovation Award
- PM National Youth Council & Volunteer Corps
- PM Digital Youth Hub
- Youth Sports League
- PM Sports Academies
- Green Energy Solarization
- PM Green Youth Movement
He acknowledged that while Pakistan’s status as a nuclear power reduced the likelihood of traditional wars, internal challenges continue to arise. He expressed concern over the recent exploitation of youth, citing examples from regions like Syria, Iraq, and Yemen, where the lack of education and employment left young people vulnerable.
By nurturing the creativity, passion, and dedication of Pakistan’s youth, the government aims to create a brighter future and lay the foundation for sustainable progress, he added.
