The Pakistan Studies Department of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) hosted a one-day seminar titled ‘Paigham-i-Pakistan’ at its Islamabad campus. The event emphasized the importance of fostering religious tolerance, patience, and peaceful coexistence to pave the way for a progressive and prosperous Pakistan.
The seminar Paigham-i-Pakistan brought together eminent religious scholars and thought leaders, Qari Syed Sadaqat Ali: Renowned Quran reciter and religious scholar, Dr. Sajid-ur-Rehman: Former President of the Islamic International University and a former head of the Seerat-un-Nabi chair at Allama Iqbal Open University & Sahibzada Ali Raza Bukhari: A former member of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Assembly and permanent delegate at the United Nations.
The speakers highlighted the pressing need for unity and interfaith harmony, drawing from Islamic teachings to promote tolerance and coexistence. They urged the youth and academia to play their role in shaping a society rooted in mutual respect and understanding.
Students, faculty, and religious leaders actively participated in the seminar Paigham-i-Pakistan, with insightful discussions and questions on fostering a culture of harmony in diverse communities.
