Punjab Provincial Minister, Mian Aslam Iqbal, has revealed that the government has waived a year’s worth of tuition fees for more than 100,000 students registered with TEVTA.

A meeting for the announcement was held at the TEVTA secretariat and was attended by Chairman TEVTA, Ali Salman Siddique, and other members of concerned provincial divisions. As per the official handout, the Punjab government has dropped Rs. 325 million in tuition fees for the upcoming academic calendar to facilitate students enrolled at TEVTA schools and colleges.

Discussing the announcement in detail, Mian Aslam Iqbal explained the new decision is valid for regular students enrolled in 400 TEVTA institutes. He added that this decision would benefit families deprived of most of their finances due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Chairman TEVTA also appreciated the government for the decision and assured to assist students with more relief packages in the future.
