The minister reviewed and ratified all decisions made during the 11th Syndicate meeting, while also receiving a comprehensive report on their implementation. A briefing from IDAP officials regarding the construction progress of the university’s main building was also a key highlight of the meeting.
Several significant approvals were made during the session, including the creation of positions such as Deputy Controller Examination, Deputy Auditor, and Assistant Treasurer. The Syndicate also sanctioned the 11th Finance and Planning meeting’s recommendations, the UCHS budget, and the PLA. Renowned academics, Prof. Muhammad Saleem and Prof. Shazia Maqbool, were honored with the title of Professors Emeritus. Additionally, the decisions from the 13th and 14th Academic Council meetings received approval.
A major development was the establishment of a selection committee for recruitment to Grade 1 through Grade 16 posts. The Health Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to enhancing UCHS’s capacity and recognized its pioneering role in training pediatric nurses in Pakistan. He urged IDAP to expedite the completion of the university’s main building to ensure timely operations.
