The Library Society of Government College University (GCU), in partnership with the Department of Geography, Islamia Graduate College Civil Lines, organized an educational geography exhibition aimed at uncovering the world’s historical and scientific realities for students and enthusiasts alike.
Held at GCU’s Salam Hall, the educational geography exhibition showcased a diverse array of displays that illuminated global and regional geographic phenomena. These included intricate diagrams of the Earth’s inner structure, tectonic shifts, and mapping systems like latitude and longitude—offering rich visual aids for learners in geography, environmental sciences, and geology.
GCU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Omer Chaudhry inaugurated the event, joined by Dr Akhtar Hussain Sandhu, Principal of Islamia Graduate College Civil Lines, Prof Dr Babar Aziz, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and Chief Librarian Muhammad Naeem.
Praising the educational geography exhibition, Prof Dr Omer Chaudhry said, “Understanding the Earth’s complex systems is essential for tackling issues like climate change, environmental degradation, and natural calamities.” The exhibition attracted enthusiastic participation from students across multiple institutions, enriching their academic experience through interactive learning.
